New Airport Terminal Building for Dalaman opened in July 2006

New Gocek Tunnel between Fethiye and Mugla has been opened officially.

The much anticipated new terminal building at Dalaman Airport has been open in June 2006. The new building will increase the Airport’s capacity to 5 million passengers per annum and facilities will include some 60 check-in desks, 42 passport control booths and parking space for one thousand vehicles. Dalaman currently welcomes some 1,427,493 international visitors each year and is the third largest airport in terms of arrivals in Turkey. The new terminal building will be of particular benefit to British holidaymakers as the Airport is the gateway into Turkey for in excess of half a million Brits annually. The Göcek Tunnel, currently under construction to shorten the Mugla - Fethiye highway, has been completed in July, 2006. Buzz Holidays meeting point is Stand No 42 at new Terminal, Dalaman Airport.
